Edward Bawa has officially taken on the role of Acting Chief Executive at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to lead the nation’s premier oil and gas institution.

Acknowledging GNPC’s crucial role in Ghana’s energy sector, Bawa emphasized his commitment to advancing its mandate of responsibly exploring, developing, and managing petroleum resources for national benefit.

“I am dedicated to ensuring that GNPC remains a driving force for Ghana’s economic progress while upholding our values of professionalism, innovation, and environmental sustainability,” he stated.

Outlining his vision, Bawa expressed a strong ambition to position GNPC as a global leader in the oil and gas industry while enhancing its contributions to Ghana’s socio-economic development. He emphasized the importance of forging stronger partnerships to attract increased investments in the sector.

“Collaboration with industry stakeholders is vital in expanding our resource base, advancing exploration and production, and unlocking opportunities for value addition across the petroleum supply chain,” Bawa explained.
