President Mahama Appoints Mohammed Abdul-Salam as Acting CEO of National Lottery Authority
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Mohammed Abdul-Salam as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), effective January 15, 2025.
The appointment, made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana and Section 45(1) of the National Lotto Act, 2006 (Act 722), is subject to the Constitutionally mandated advice of the NLA Board in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
The announcement was confirmed through an official letter signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President. In the letter, President Mahama extended his best wishes to Mr. Abdul-Salam, emphasizing the importance of effective leadership in state institutions.
