MAHAMA ORDERS RECALL OF DIPLOMATIC PASSPORTS ISSUED BY PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION FOR VERIFICATION
The new administration has announced the recall of all diplomatic and service passports issued during the tenure of former President Akufo-Addo.
In a statement released on Tuesday, January 14, President John Mahama, through his Executive Secretary, outlined that the recall was necessary to ensure the proper usage of the passports, safeguard against potential misuse, and protect the nation’s reputation.
To facilitate this process, President Mahama has instructed the Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform all holders of diplomatic passports, set a deadline for their return, and carry out a comprehensive review of the documents.
